Instructors often ask to see demonstrations of WebVista learning activities. Due to privacy concerns, we cannot provide direct links to actual WebVista sites. However, you may use the following services and resources to get examples of and learn how to construct learning activities in Vista.
Consultations
You may meet with an educational technology consultant from the Digital Media Center (DMC) who can show you Vista learning activity samples and help you plan how to develop and teach with your own Vista learning activities. To set up an appointment, call 612-625-5055 or send e-mail to dmc@umn.edu.
Evaluation Instrument
You may use an evaluation instrument developed by faculty members from the School of Nursing and our consultants to evaluate the effectiveness of your Vista learning activities. See the Online Nursing Curriculum Evaluation page on the DMC site for details and download a rich text format (RTF) version of the instrument.
Vista Short Course
You may take the University Technology Training Center (UTTC) WebVista 3: Creating Basic Course Web Sites short course to learn how to build Vista sites and use Vista tools to create learning activities. See the registration page for details.
Exemplary Projects
DMC consultants have developed case studies of how University of Minnesota instructors have used WebVista and other tools to develop learning activities. See the Exemplary Projects page on the DMC site.
