The Sun Java plugin is required to use some of the more powerful WebVista tools such as the Chat/Whiteboard. If you are using Mac OS X, make sure the plugin is installed by following the steps below.
Test for Java
Mac OS X comes with Java pre-installed, so you should already have Java. Follow the steps below to make sure you have it.
- Open your hard drive.
- Open the Applications folder.
- Open the Utilities folder.
- Open the Java folder.
- Verify the presence of Java 1.3.1 Plugin Settings and Java 1.4.2 Plugin Settings.
Install Java
Mac OS X now ships with the Java 1.3.1 and 1.4.1 Release 2. This is available through the Software Update feature.
